Welcome to the English Department!
The English Department offers a curriculum designed to enhance critical thinking, communication, and literary analysis skills. English is a required course from Grades 9 to 12, providing students with a strong foundation in reading, writing, and oral communication.
In Grade 11, the program emphasizes diverse perspectives, with a particular focus on Indigenous voices and storytelling, encouraging cultural understanding and awareness. In Grade 12, students have the option to take The Writer’s Craft, a course that develops creative writing skills and fosters self-expression. The department’s goal is to engage students and prepare them for future academic and personal success.
